Autocorrect turned Starfire into Stafford, the sexiest alien princess from Tamarloan! AKA more examples why DC will probably never hire me (special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge for 'Tamarloan'). XD

Okay, the POTUS's statement. I think overall feeling is that I am glad that he said that he now believes in marriage equality, he's been toeing around the issue for awhile so it's nice to hear that he's for it. However, because he said this, what I would like is to see him actually back it up with legitimate effort in getting marriage equality into this country... but I don't exactly know if it would happen. But with his track record, my guess is that he'd be leaving it up to the states, which disappoints me because I don't think civil liberties are things that should be voted on (looking at you, NC, Mormon Church and Prop 8). Anyway, the mixture of feelings have just left me with a feeling of numbing 'meh' over the entire thing. I'm glad the people who are happy about the statement are happy, regardless of general feelings it is the first time that a POTUS made a statement for being pro-gay marriage so that's pretty huge.

To be honest, I'm a bigger fan of the FLOTUS. She's fabulous and I see her all the time on the different cartoon channels telling kids to get up and move. She's a nice change because she doesn't care that she's making a fool of herself dancing with a platypus in order to get her message across, compared to the previous FLOTUSes who wore pantsuits and stood behind a podium. Could I vote for her instead?
