I Heart Wizard Rock
Jan. 9th, 2008 12:17 amI went to blow some steam and chill out at the Knitting Factory today, which was great! The Remus Lupins were playing, there are all sorts of random, hilarious people there (the best kind who have no idea that they are hilarious, like the girl in gold booty shorts), and I hung back in a lit spot and did a few caricatures. I brought my camera with me and saw it as a chance to play with photography some more, but man, my camera would need a serious upgrade before I could actually do decent band photography. It's HARD, the band's always moving around, people are jostling you and if they're not, they're making the floors vibrate so that you shake and the picture ends up blurry, etc etc etc. Doesn't help that I'm so anti-flash and shot all my photos without the flash on. But I got quite a few good ones which can be seen on my flickr page! Click the photo below:

Oh, and I got my drumstick (that I caught WITH MY FACE! My face is talented) signed by Alex, the lead singer, but I had to leave without the rest of the band signing it. Leaving early was something I had to do, I had worked full shifts the past weekend on both days, and ended up with really bad stomach pains from Sunday that lasted till Monday. Figured it would be a good idea to just go to a concert, have a little fun, not think about work/life/everything, and shoot some photography. Sad that I left early though since I'm missing those last two signatures, looks like I have to go see them again! ;D
P.S. Hey Sam, Alex says, "Hi!"
