The Internet Works and I Am Tired
Jan. 11th, 2011 11:37 pmInternet works, woo hoo!
Overall state of the Jean: Tired. A bit stressed.
Over the holidays, we got a phone call that my grandma in Korea wasn't doing so well health-wise. There was a bit of a scare, but she's improved since then and is out of the hospital and back into the care facility, but also has sort of plateaued into this depressed state where she keeps telling my mom that she'll be leaving soon to go to heaven. Needless to say, Mom's been worried and is leaving tonight, probably boarding the plane right now, to stay with Grandma as long as she's needed.
I wish I was on the plane as well to help Mom out and keep her company, but I can't because of work. So while Mom's gone, once again, I'm responsible for keeping the house running, for keeping the cat, fed and entertained, and making sure that my brother and father don't become a pair of useless man babies. Did I mention that I'm doing all this while working full time, working on personal projects, try to hold up a few social obligations, and attempting to squeeze in some artwork for some potential art shows?
And people wonder why I don't want children.
