Just Watched Advent Children

Best Things about Movie
1. Reno
2. Cloud's sword. Look Ma! It slices! And dices! And comes apart for MORE SLICIN' AND DICIN'
3. Really really good and well thought out designs. Very pretty movie! Visually stunning, action-packed and all that! Fight scenes were fun to watch... although the same effects and shot ideas being used over and over got really boring after awhile.
4. Reno
5. Crispin cast as Rude? AWESOME.
6. Reno... and Vincent.
7. Vincent's Cape of Doom attack!
8. Cait Sith's Scottish accent. And Cid's cowboy accent. Because it made me laugh really really hard.
9. And did I mention Reno?

Worst Things about Movie.
1. THE STORY SUCKED. It was NON-EXISTANT. I got very bored after watching it after awhile. OMG END ALREADY! IT'S OVER! IT'S OOOVEEEER!
2. Ummm English translation script had terrible writing. Or maybe it was just the script in general.
3. Whoever played Tifa could NOT voice act. She had a very pretty sounding voice but her acting was terrible.
4. MONSTER OF NO BACKSTORY APPEARS AND TERRORIZES THE CITY! O NOES!
5. Everyone boosting Cloud into the air seperately? LAME. And melodramatic.
6. Lifestream and Aerith= DEUS EX MACHINA. Booooooooring!
7. So much of the movie felt like a cell phone advertisement. And with all the spiffy machines and designs that the movie had, WHY COULDN'T THE CELL PHONES LOOK SPIFFY? THEY LOOKED LIKED REGULAR CELL PHONES.
8. Rufus Shinra did NOT look bacon fried although supposedly 'barely escaped from a building that blew up'. I DEMAND BACON FRIED SHINRA, DAMMIT! If Anakin Skywalker can be fried, SO CAN RUFUS SHINRA!
9. Okay, main bad guy was that one dude with the hair in his face... and we all forget his brothers exist at some point in the movie! Wheee forgetting important evil characters exist! FAIL! :P

All in all, Advent Children was a BEAUTIFUL movie. The story just sucked.

Watch the Japanese version, the acting is much better in it. :-)

And it has Maaya Sakamoto! But the English version does have very good acting, they got some GREAT voice actors to be in this movie. However, the script does get rather lame and it turned out that Rachel Leigh Cook was cast as Tifa... and she could never act anyway so why begin now? XD
