I can has steampunk?
I've been sick the last few days so I've been trying to work on my costume while being all coughy and sniffly. But I finally did enough to post some progress pics!

Front of the vest. It's not done definitely, I still need to attach the channel and the lining, plus the buttons. I'm wondering if I should just put the bias trim all around the vest. Thoughts??

Back of the vest! I'm really proud of the embroidery... but it was a bitch to do. I never ever want to use metallic thread ever again! It breaks easily, gets stuck in the machine, etc, it was a niiiightmare. But in the end, it looks really cool.

I designed the embroidery myself based on the wings from Clover. :D

Look! Glasses!!! :D

And I feel your pain on metallic thread. @_@ The year we did Trinity Bloody, I went through probably 70 needles cause the thread kept unraveling, snagging and snapping the needles. We took to wearing safety goggles around the damn embroidery machine. NEVER AGAIN. -_-

Metallic thread is such a pain!! I can't imagine doing the extent of embroidery you guys did on your Trinity Blood costume without going insane from the damn thread snapping, unraveling, etc... D: Just doing the back of the vest was bad enough!
