If you're gonna get a new MacBook, I'd wait until like those back to school times (around fall or whatnot). When I got mine, they were giving away a free iPod nano if you bought a MacBook (reg or pro) so yeah =X lol. I mean I'm pretty sure it was because they were coming out with a new redesign of the nano so they were trying to get rid of the old ones but hey, it's a nice free item to have.
