I think it's all in how you wear it. It looks really amazingly well-made, and I mean that with utmost sincerity, like really commercial quality stuff. Lately I've noticed, thanks to Ikea and Urban Outfitters mostly, that things which remind me of my grandma's house are very very in, so 'looking old' might work in its favour. If you pair it with something young and hip it wouldn't look 'old,' I think, it would look like you have the guts to stand out a little. Which isn't always a bad thing. :)
BTW, what kind of sewing machine did you get? How do you like it?
