Ginger Garlic Basil Salmon Recipe

Based on Food Wishes' recipe.

Didn't have the exact ingredients the recipe called for so I swapped a few and it was just SO GOOD.

Ingredients:
2 center-cut salmon fillet
salt to taste
1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
2 cloves crushed garlic
1/4 cup rice vinegar (swapped with apple vinegar)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp hot chili sauce to taste (swapped with Korean gochujjang)
1 tsp soy sauce
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp chopped basil (family doesn't like basil so I added a few shakes of dried basil)

Combine all the ingredients except for the basil, salt, and the salmon into a bowl and mix thoroughly. THOROUGHLY. Brown sugar and gochujjang like to bunch together. Set the sauce aside and sprinkle salt on one side of the salmon. Heat up a fry pan with a little vegetable oil over medium heat and drop the salmon in, round side down. Sprinkle salt on the other side and watch the salmon cook. When the color changes halfway through, flip the salmon and cook the other side until the salmon is all the way cooked.

Pour in the sauce, sprinkle in some basil, and let it bubble, it should thicken after some cooking. Spoon the sauce over the salmon when the brown sugar caramelizes and serve!
