My Valentine's Day

Friday night, I stayed over Rey's house after karaoke with him and da Twins! Woke up, watched 101 Hollywood Juiciest Couples on E! because there was nothing to watch and just cuddled. Had some chicken wings and bread for breakfast XD

Rey drove me home to change and brush my teeth, then took me to the Twins' place (my car was still there from the night before). The three of met up with Edgar and Jane at the Fashion Institute and looked at the costume exhibit!

WOW. Just wow.

I couldn't tear myself away from the Lord of the Rings costumes. The urge to touch was... very difficult to restrain. But there were many security guards and I didn't want to get kicked out so I restrained under their eagle eyes X_X Eowyn's dress was GORGEOUS! All the little details you just don't see in the film... it's incredible. They had FARAMIR'S costume too!!! Gaaaah, wanna hug!! Wanna hug the maniquin! X_X And the Gondor and Rohan armor for Merry and Pippin!! And ARWEN'S COSTUME! ESPECIALLY HER HEADDRESS! And Eowyn's jewlery and NARSIL!! NARSIL WAS SINGING TO ME TO TAKE IT!! "Elendil! Elendil!!!"

x_X

The other exhibits were cool too, saw Hugh Jackman's costume from X-Men, also had to resist urge to fondle. Storm's costume was impressive and not impressive at the same time. Mostly the cape, the bottom was not finished at the bottom, just two pieces of fabric sewn together, and buttoned across the back.

Johnney Dep's costume from Pirates was unimpressive without the man himself inside of it. And the hat looked really small o_O And Billy Boyd's costume from Master and Commander showed me how incredibly _tiny_ he is in real life! Wow, he's like my height or a teensy bit taller! O_O Perfect hobbit material!

The Last Samurai costumes were amazing, since Ngila Dickson did that one as well!

Anyway, after the exhibit, we had linner at Mitsuwa! I was very happy to find the helicopter air freshiners that I had been looking for and got one for Mom too. Mmm curry and ramen set!

Which turned out to be a bad idea in the end. I could barely eat the nummy dinner I had prepared! I made herb encrusted lamb chops (well I roasted them instead of frying or broiling them), potatoes, rice and chowder! Mmmm... it was so good and I couldn't eat all of it! Rey came over half an hour earlier than I expected him to so I wasn't really done but I finished quickly and got him started on the food.

Rey was really impressed *^o^* Nuff said. He tried to eat everything then found out he couldn't XD The two of us originally planned to rent a movie and watch it together, but we were so full and sleepy that we just... fell asleep ^o^;;;;;

Hee hee hee.

So that was my Valentine's day!!

...Jean, don't take the broken sword. Wait until it's been reforged (and renamed). Or was it not broken? Hmmm.... Costumes sound very cool.... ARGH! Darn you for getting to see Eowyn and Faramir's costumes! Darn you to HECK! And may Phil, prince of insufficient light, poke you with his big-ass spoon. Yup, yup. ::totally jealous here::

It's going to be up til like May, you should go see it! The exhibit is in downtown L.A. at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising! Remember all those ladies who came to our school and wanted people to apply there and stuff?

I'll go with you when you want to go see it, let me know!!
