And also because of Lynleigh's room make-over... and my parents' house reconstruction... it makes me want to make-over my room!!! X_X My room is smaller than Lynleigh's and since I do all of my art stuff and sewing in my room it's really clutttered. I did reposition my drafting table, night stand and desk awhile ago and cleaned out my closet and the area underneath my bed, (brought in some plastic shelves too... that don't match) but I'm not satisfied. So, I made some plans:
1. Take apart the plastic shelves and paint them white. Reposition 3 of them in a row underneath my window and put a wooden board on top to make another shelf.
2. Take the two remaining shelves and either put them on top of the other shelves or move them to the other side of the room next to my closet. The door won't open all the way but I don't really _need_ the door to open all the way anyway.
3. Move my nightstand to where the shelves were and make my Kenshin wall scroll higher and take down my Sailor Moon poster.
4. Take down my Card Captor Sakura poster and replace it with a mirror... something I need quite badly.
5. Organize posters and wall scrolls so that they are in a straight line and are all tacked on so they won't keep falling.
6. Put four posters on my sliding closet door in a square, right now it's plain and really dull.
7. Reorganize what goes inside the plastic shelves. Right now, it's left over fabric from costumes but I'm sure I can fit those to go into just 2 shelves instead of all of them. I want to move my CD cover into those shelves and clear some space from my desk.
8. Replace knobs on my desk and nightstand so that they all match.
9. My bed and desk are white with a red trim so I want to paint the trim white because there is NOTHING that is red in my room.
10. Switch the lamp with the one in the living room and put something cute on it.
11. Maybe make some slip covers or at least do something cute with my desk chair and my drafting table chair.
Things I need to purchase:
1 can of white spray paint
1 long piece of wood
Tacks
Accessories
Mirror
I'm going to keep the color scheme pale blue and white with a bit of pale pink as accents so I don't have to change my comforter and my curtains that my mom made. I want to get some cute accessories and make the room more girly because I have so many shonen anime posters and wall scrolls. I definately want to keep my posters but I don't like frames so I'm not going to frame them.
