Date: 2004-11-08 07:15 pm (UTC)People need to stop comparing Hitler to Bush. They're are two completely different people. Hitler banned citizens from owning guns. Bush supports gun rights. Hitler was a socialist. Bush is a capitalist. Hitler was against free speech, punishing anyone who spoke out against him. Bush supports free speech. He didn't have a problem with the Dixie Chicks or Michael Moore. In fact, he welcomed their opinions.

Date: 2004-11-08 09:38 pm (UTC)Goebbels: "The Fuhrer is deeply religous, though completely anti-Christian. He views Christianity as a symptom of decay. Rightly so. It is a branch of the Jewish race... Both [Judaism and Christianity] have no point of contact to the animal element, and thus, in the end, they will be destroyed. The Fuhrer is a convinced vegetarian, on principle. His arguments cannot be refuted on any serious basis. They are totally unanswerable."
So in summary, Hitler was anti-Christian, and a vegetarian.

Date: 2004-11-08 09:47 pm (UTC)If you see the picture below, some even depicted Clinton as Hitler. I think the comparison is merely metaphorical, but nothing exact... maybe more of a warning to be wary of any actions that infringes on our rights (Patriot Act struck a red flag) than a genuine belief that they are one in the same.
