Bored and quiet. The Animation and Special Effects class I chose to take is kinda... well, since we;re not on the animation part yet, I'm pretty bored. I don't really care about special effects except in movies, we're talking a lot about forced perspective and special effects done for architecture. Yeah it's interesting, but I covered this stuff in Perspective Class already. But the prof has said we're going to be watching a Betty Boop and Felix cartoon in a bit so there's hope! My teacher isn't an animator, but he is a writer about animation and the two books we're supposed to have are his own books XD He teaches at CalArts too and taught the guys who created Powerpuff Girls and Dexters Lab which is pretty cool. =)

Also, I'm realizing that I want to take more Entertainment classes instead of just Illustration. Right now, my three main studio classes are Illustration oriented, so I'm thinking that after this term, I'll stop with the Illustration classes and go towards Entertainment. Things like 'Intro to Entertainment' where you spend the entire class developing a story idea and deciding to either turn it into a video game or a movie, etc has more appeal to me than spending a buttload of time painting portraits. I love painting and drawing, but what I love even more is creating and telling a story. But the projects for these classes are interesting and I'm having a great time =) Being in Illustration classes means that I won't leave my friends since a lot of them are Illustration oriented. Edgar and Josie are already doing Entertainment stuff, so I'm kind of jealous. I opted to get rid of my academics FIRST and then take electives (which are Entertainment stuff right now) so I have History of Art and Animation classes. But hey, I'll be FREE of academic classes for my last three terms! *cheers*

I have to start thinking about a job... I don't want to apply for one until AM is over and even then it's difficult because art takes SO MUCH TIME and I know I won't be able to put a 100% on my pieces if I'm tired from work. I hate having to work but my parents are so damn insistant that I do. I'm school oriented above all things and jobs have a hard time understanding that. Even the jobs at school just won't get off my back and it's hell on earth asking for time off around finals and midterms. *sighs* I may just try to squeak by without a job, I'm not going out as much as I did and I'm getting to be more of an organized workaholic which is good because I get everything DONE and DONE WELL. That will be gone once I get a job >=X Bleh desu. Back to class!
