Still Covered in Pink

Back from Lyn's wedding! I want to write this down while I still remember everything I did, but the funny thing is that I don't remember everything I did! I had a fabulous time, I probably had the most fun out of everyone XD And I couldn't stop smiling!! I had the biggest, most corniest smile on my face and IT DID NOT LEAVE. As the day progressed, I found more and more things to smile about. It feels good that Thanksgiving is just around the corner, today just reminded more than ever that I have many things to be thankful for, which is really quite funny. I watched one of my best and most mature friends get married, I got to be in the wedding and walk down the aisle, I watched her man shed a glistening tear, I watched another friend cry, and I almost cried myself.

Hey bridal party, I WON THE BET. I was the closest one to make the bride cry! *dances*

I wasn't planning on saying a toast or anything, but as the evening progressed, I felt a speech stir in me and I thought of all the times Lyn and I had together, living together at the Pink Pad and how, yeah, she really did shape up my life. Does she know that she did that? I wasn't too sure. It's one of those moments where you feel like you have to tell someone something but it explodes out of you. When Lisa and Rachael were talking about toasting, I said I wanted to too and I went after Lynleigh's sister who gave a wonderful speech.

I can't remember my speech now, word for word. I'm bloody TRYING to remember but I can't xD It was one of the most eloquent moments of my life and I can't remember it!! But Lyn does mean so much to me. She did help shape the person I am as well as forever will shape the person I will become. And I want so much for her happiness which I know she knows how to get. I'm so proud of her, I'm so happy for her and I know that Yas will treat her with the respect and love that she deserves.

You make life better, Lyn, just by being there and being you. I love you! <3
