An update of sorts

It's that time of year again. Amaury watches as she hovers over her work, dark circles forming underneath her eyes. She sleeps about five hours a night and he knows that when she sleeps, she tosses, her dreams plagued with responsibilities. He's surprised to realize that he feels sorry for her, even care for her a little as she pushes herself harder than she had done before. Of course, all these feelings will fade by Friday when she puts away her pieces of work and then kick him to that bloody ball with a powdered face and a black robe.
Old drabble I posted in Amaury's LJ, but it is that time of the year again! Thankfully, the class I had the most work due ended on Saturday, but I ended up hardly sleeping to get my work done so I had to miss the wedding. Still sad about that but then if I went, I'd probably would've been sleeping on the poor sod who had to sit next to me the entire time. Or maybe do an amazing faceplant into the food. Or get really incoherent and get everyone's names mixed up... which is what happens after awhile as I struggle to keep myself awake. And coffee doesn't work on me, every kind of coffee (except for Starbucks) has been giving me migranes as of late X_X;
I'm joining an all girl art blog from my school but I'll do that after finals when I actually have art to post instead of unfinished paintings. I've applied for Nickelodean and Cartoon Network for internships and I won't get an interview until May, so there's a huge scheduling conflict at the moment for next term that's enough to drive me insane and worry about it. Regardless, I'm not graduating until the end of this year, a bit of a relief because more classes are being offered and I want to take them, but not at the same time because I'm really getting sick of school. But the internship should be great, give me a real view what it's like to be out in the working world. I've decided to pursue character and conceptual design for television animation since that's what I've grown up on and what I remember the clearest. It also looks like fun to be a part of since it's still done 2D! I know I got Lena all excited when I told her I was thinking of applying to work for 'Avatar'... but I need to watch it first. XD Anime style in America is still being done really weird anyway, maybe I could do something to kick it into shape.
Anyway, my finals will be done on Thursday night, Grad Show will be on Friday, and Saturday will be graduation of a bunch of my friends T_T *weep*
