Nyuunyuunyuunyuu~~
May. 26th, 2006 10:31 amI've mellowed out about the whole 'ZOMG I'M GRADUATING' thing and now am pretty much moving with the flow. I have three classes + one side project, everything's going well, I've had my teachers before or if I haven't, they already love me. XD The teacher I never had before, the two of us ended up sitting around for like, half an hour during class talking about LOST and we shared a lot of the same opinions about it, which is pretty awesome! In my portfolio design lab class, I ended up getting into a Position of Powah when I pitched a project idea to two teachers: one who is an executive at Sony and the other who is a former background painter/designer for Disney and made his own films. That experience was pretty freaking awesome because the only thing I said was the title and the teacher who is an executive immediately went, "I'LL BUY IT!!!"
I'm keeping up with being responsible for my personal project as well, I have everything written out, my goals are clear, I've already started doing a whole lot of sketches for background characters and the design influences for the main characters are worked out. Of course, being this responsible does have sacrifices, I end up staying home a lot even when asked to go out so I could do more sketches and work on homework. My parents wanted to take a trip to Nor Cal to visit family over Memorial Day weekend and I told them I couldn't go. It would be different if I could work while I was there, but a lot of what that trip is supposed to be is riding in the car and I ALWAYS get motion sickness if I try to read or draw. Terribly unproductive.
Anyway, my graduation date has been finalized, it's in August so if you guys want to come, please reply and I'll send you an invitation! :D I can invite as many people as I want to my graduation! We should go have lunch somewhere afterwards!! Also, there's Grad Show that I'd like to invite people to come to see! I'll be having a HUGE SPACE OF WALL to myself to display my work! I'm a little scared of that, I don't know how to arrange my pieces yet or what piece is going up, but I think I will by the time Grad Show rolls around. GRAD SHOW IS REALLY REALLY COOL, AND WE SERVE ALCOHOL! ;D
I was looking at the really really cute 'Angelic Pretty' dress Annie had on her LJ and it made me really want something like that or similar to wear for my graduation. My school is TOO COOL for graduation gowns so people usually go on stage dressed in their pjs, jeans, a sweater, or they wear dresses... or they wear costumes XD I have a very pretty pale blue dress that I had never worn (I bought to wear at Rebeccca's wedding and ended up not being able to go T_T) but it feels so generic, it doesn't feel like me. I'd love to graduate wearing something I designed and feeling extra extra cute that day... hmm... I may draw out the design, choose the fabric, cut the pieces, then ask mom to put it together for me... POSSIBILITIES!
P.S. CONGRATS TO ASHEE! FWEEEDOOOOM!
