Guess Who's Playing 'Mom' This Week?
Aug. 19th, 2008 09:08 amMy mom left for Korea last night to visit my grandmother. She's currently in the hospital with Parkison's Disease and she's been feeling down, so Mom going to see her should brighten up her spirits (good vibes, please)!
Anyway, because I am the woman of the family *sigh*, I have been charged with the task of General Upkeep of the Home. Already, I forsee complaints from the Dad coming, I don't think he had breakfast this morning because I wasn't up to make him any, even though Mom pre-made a lot of food for all of us and he only needed to put it on a plate and stick it in the microwave. He also expects me to make dinner tonight, but considering I'm the LAST ONE HOME every day, I really don't want to walk in around 7:30 at night and have my dad yelling at me about why dinner isn't ready yet.
I did however, empty the dishwasher, cook breakfast for my brother, wash all the dishes in the sink and tidied up the kitchen and dining area. I would've packed a bento for me too except Producer Dude wants to go out for Fresh and Easy today which is fiiiineee with me. I have to make two bentos tonight though, one for me and Dad.
Being Mom is hard work. XP Tomorrow is laundry day and Thursday, Dad's home late (late usually means 10 at night) so I have to go to work early in order to be home by five.
What is the Brother Two doing you might ask? He has rice cooking and garbage duty. I'm planning on giving him some laundry and grocery shopping duties as well.
