I finally went to the Fashion District for the first time in ages to go find fabrics for my steampunk costume. It's probably all that walking around and feeble attempts at haggling that just get me tired but today Mom decided she wanted to go with me. She hates being in the car when I drive so we had a very tense car ride to the district and back. Don't get me wrong, it was nice to have Mom come along and see all the fabric stores, the shoe stores and the trim shops, a good time was had by all. But I couldn't find all the things I needed so I can't really start on anything yet aside from the aviator helmet.

I'm also having second thoughts about the black lace I bought. *sigh*

But I did find this great smoky blue suede for my vest! It was very pricey but so worth it, it's sixty inches wide and I only bought a yard and a half which is more than enough for the vest, helmet, and cute little bustle. I need to figure out the bustle and how I'm going to do it, it'll probably snap on or something.
