Me: Hey Animator R, did you ever manage to figure out what was wrong with the thingie?
R: ...the... 'thingie'?
Me: Yeah! The thingie! The thingie that wouldn't go around! *makes little round hand motions*
R: *stares blankly*
Me: You know, the thingie! The thingie that didn't work because you moved the other thingie and because you moved it, it wouldn't go around! *keeps making hand motions*
R: ...?
Me: The thingie! The thingie that wouldn't go around!
R: ...OH! Yeah, I fixed it, it was a wiring issue.
Me: My god, you couldn't get what I was trying to do with my use of the word 'thingie'?
