bluejeans07: (Doctor Who- Blame me)
Waaah, weekend is pretty much over and I don't feel like I got stuff done. DX Yesterday, I slept in and then ran over to see lovely people for Neko's swinging 1940's party! Funtimes were have! Alcohol was drunk! Bosoms were grabbed (it's okay, it's just us girls ;P)! I dressed up as Death in the 1940's but since I got there late, I didn't get any photos. Oh well! Maybe I'll dress up during some free time and take photos by myself. xD

I also went to the library and picked up two books, I really want to get back into reading again. I feel like the stories I come up with by myself have been lacking as of late because I haven't been reading or getting inspired. I may need to start listening to more books on tape while I'm at work or something. I borrowed 'The Liar' by Stephen Fry, which I'm interested in reading because I want to know what Stephen Fry is like as a novelist, and 'The Line Between' by one of my favorite authors Peter S. Beagle. I've already read parts of 'The Line Between' which has a small sequel to 'The Last Unicorn' but I want to sit down and finish it this time.

Today, I moved around the furniture in my room, it'd been feeling cluttered and small to me lately. My room is the smallest room in the house so I need to be smart about where I put things and how to use the space I have. It looks a lot better now but it's clear how badly I need another bookcase since the one I have is overflowing with books. I meant to clean the hamster's cage today too but I ended up taking so much time with moving the furniture several different times that I just couldn't get to it. Poor Polar Bear, but I'll give it a really thorough cleaning after work tomorrow.

Atom also got a bath and his claws clipped so he was an unhappy cat. XD

Art wise, I just finished doing some graphic design thingies for the American Cancer Society. Not paid, just volunteer work but I'm happy to do it since my BFF has done her own awesome job at kicking cancer in the ass. I finished part of it tonight so I'm feeling pretty good even though I'm not much of a graphic designer. XD But I like it, it's cute and it's a bit reflective of my current 1950's graphic/Mary Blair inspiration that's been part of me lately. I meant to start on some special paintings this weekend but it's been pushed back because of the graphics, and I still don't have a concrete idea of what I want to do yet. I kind of want to paint my own kind of 'Little Mermaid' paintings...

*think think think*

Oh, and I also rewatched the anime version of 'Little Women' while cleaning my room and watched 'Sita Sings the Blues'. PLEASE WATCH IT, IT IS AMAZING! I'll go more into 'Sita' another time, but if anyone has a moment, please watch it. Just google it and it'll pop out an authorized streaming site to view this independent animated movie.
