This is an e-mail I sent to Amazon
Apr. 12th, 2009 12:48 pmI love Amazon.com. I really do love this page, it's so convenient to find everything I want/need especially if I can't find it in my local stores, and if I need to find it cheaper. I think this page is wonderful.
However, I feel like I can no longer purchase items from here and give Amazon.com my business due to actions being taken against homosexual literature and historical texts. While I understand the need to try to cover all bases and protect Amazon.com from lawsuits by making erotica and pornography more difficult to find, I find it hard to believe that this can be done by directly hitting only the books with homosexual content. If this is to be done, either take away the sales rankings on ALL EROTIC CONTENT or none at all. Right now, it looks like Amazon.com is a proponent of bigotry instead of being a place of professional, unbiased business.
Also, all the novels on the list (http://community.livejournal.com/meta_writer/11992.html) show that not all of the books are erotica. There are several biographies and history books that are meant for education that are being targeted that do not have any sort of sexual content whatsoever.
I am deeply saddened that it has come to this and I ask as a customer to please fix resolve these issues quickly and peacefully.
Thank you very much.

Also, John Barrowman fans? His autobiography 'Anything Goes' is one of the novels that have been affected. To anyone who hasn't read it, it's not like erotica AT ALL.
