Kitties!

I'm watching my friend Diana's cat Humphrey during the Christmas holidays and she requested that Humphrey gets a photoshoot like Atom does! So I'm bringing my camera around every day to take some photos. Today was the first day and I'm still figuring out which parts of her house has the best light.


This one was my favorite one! Alix thinks Humphrey is a colorpoint shorthair or a balinese mix. All I know about Humphrey's origins is that he just showed up one day and adopted Diana and her housemates. XD Isn't he handsome? He has such pretty blue eyes and fur, got lovely stripey legs, feet and tail too.

I wish I could take him home with me to watch for the hols since he seems a bit lonely and he's used to a house full of boisterous 20-something year-olds. He's really sweet and social too apparently, with cats and with people. But it's probably best he stays home and I go visit him twice a day to feed him, play with him and clean his box. Besides, Atom isn't used to being around other cats. XD

I wish I could use that camera for lots of Humphrey photos too!

Snow Drop Cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar (powdered and sifted) (icing sugar)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour (sifted)
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl and stir in the vanilla.

Sift the flour and salt together and add to the sugar mixture. Gently fold in the chopped pecans.

Shape the mixture into golf ball sized balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for approximately 15 minutes at 350F or until baked through and slightly golden.

While cookies are baking place a little extra powdered sugar in a bowl. Once the cookies are done, roll through the sugar and set aside to cool.
