The stripes will just be taped off, but the swirls will definetely be stencils because they need to be clean and symmetrical on both sides. I even have a plan for doing stencils! I'm going to print out the design first on big paper, then go to Kinkos and have it enlarged in the cheap enlarge photocopy machine that they have that I not-so-secretly covet, cut it out carefully with an exacto and use a spray that will make one side a removable adhesive so it goes on smoothly :D
