Recipe for an OG Tama-chan plushie!
Aug. 9th, 2001 09:41 amNow you can make one too! You need about 2 feet of green and yellow fabric each ^^ and some black and white acrylic paint.
The SHELL
Get a piece of paper and draw a large oval on it. Then divide the oval into hexagons so it looks like a shell. Make sure that there are indentations at the parts where the arms and legs are going to be stiched.
Cut out the oval and pin it on the green fabric, then cut around the paper. Put this aside for now. Cut each hexagon out and pin it to the green fabric. Then cut out each green hexagon. After this, sew the shell together. Take the green oval and sew it to the shell. Be sure to leave an opening where the head's supposed to come out. No Nelson, not that one -_-;;
Flip the shell so the stiches won't show and stuff the shell with some pillow stuffing
The HEAD
Take the yellow fabric, fold it in half and using a piece of chalk or pastel, drawn an outline for the head. Cut it out and sew it together. You should've had two pieces of OG Tama-chan's head. Flip it so the sewing won't show, and take the paint to paint in its eyes. Take a hair dryer and blow dry the eyes, then stuff the head.
To attach the head to the shell, adjust the head so it's in the middle of the opening. Then starting from the right, stitch up the shell, make sure the stiches don't show. When you get to the head, sew it to the top section of the shell. Then keep stitching. Go back to it and sew the bottom of the shell to the under part of the head.
That's all for now, I'll tell you the rest later ^^
