I left class early today because we're painting with rubber cement and that stuff makes my nostrils burn X_X It's bad enough that the amount of layers of RC I have to paint already makes my nose burn from the stink, but if 20 other people in my class are doing the same thing... then I'd rather not be there! My teacher hates the technique too but he continuse to teach it because other people want it. Apparently there's only people who love or who hate it, so Rob Clayton and I are the ones who hate it. So after LJ, my plans involve a nap, lots of painting on two different projects, a scented candle burning to hopefully dilute the smell a bit, LOST (Mom told me recently that she watches it too... probably to watch Yunjin Lee, a Korean drama actress... hopefully she won't get cancer like in her roles for Korean dramas), and ENDGAME RADIO which I'm very much looking forward to! And if there is time I'll work on my Halloween costume XD And there's always times for SIMS!! Man, it's so addicting and sooo much fun! I just gotta figure out how to make my little people happier, they're always sad now... I'm not meant to play god XD Oh Mandy, I made a Sirius and Remus family too! But also in the family is ALICE NOIR BLACK. DUN DUN DUN!!

Mmmm...Sims...

You need any expansion packs? Try to borrow them, since to play the game, you just need whatever was the last one installed. Makin' Magic was the final one, so if you can mooch the others, you just need to pick up that one.

How's their wallpaper? My sims always got happier when I got them the more expensive stuff. So I'd make an expensive wallpaper, upload it, and redo a main room for them in it.

I'm actually going as a Sim for Halloween. I'm making a green diamond out of craft foam, sticking it to a headband, and then carting around a few thought bubbles. (Cake, sailboat, and an x-ed out dish)

Jean's doing it on a Mac, Rachel. She can't make new things - that only works with PeeCees. 'S evil. She's got the Hot Date and Makin' Magic expansion packs because those were the ones that happened to have (she got the entire game from me. I feel very evil ^O^)

Long live Alice Noire! ...though her name is actually Cassiopia Black. When she's not a completely different character (who looks exactly the same and has the same basic back history) and Lethe Noire.

The rubber cement fumes are probably carcinogenic. And brain-damaging. You guys should do it outside if you can :( Or some place with REALLY GOOD ventilation!

Make your people happier by following the little bars on the bottom of the screen (you can see them by clicking twice on the People/Family icon). More green = happier sims! It's so simple! (Well, not really, but it *sounds* easy!) Also, when you're buying things, pay attention to the stats - things like "+2 hunger" and stuff.

how does one PAINT with rubber cement, I mean it rubs easily off... and it's not like it has colors.

You use the rubber cement as a texturizer. After you paint a layer of gouche (an opaque watercolor like paint) and that dries, you rub into with your fingers.

HUH... are you saying paint the RC first, then the gouche, then you can rub and detract from what is already present?

Ohhh no no no XD First, you paint a layer of gouche and then wait for it to dry. Then you add a layer of rubber cement, wait for that to dry, and then rub and you get a funky texture. You can cover that with more paint and RC and repeat, so you have multi-colored and layered funky texture that smells horrible X_X
