bluejeans07Ren Faire yesterday was major fun! <3s to Kie, Yie, Ashley, Angela, Jenntrude, and Lyn!! Whoo for hot boys speaking in British accents and running around in a cute new Ren Faire costume~ <3<3<3<3<3
New location is pretty nice in my opinion, there are actual TREES and GRASS for shade and for comfy places to sit. But the whole general tone of the faire had to be really PGed down and you had to pay for parking =( And of course, the Celts get shoved onto the one area without trees and grass. Wheee. Everything else was really fun though. First person we saw when we got to the Faire parking lot was a guy dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow XD He had the look DOWN. And of course, we walk into the and I find a Gandalf the White and the Witch King! And we all saw an Eowyn and Arwen wandering around XD
Highlights of the Faire:
Walking in and opening the map to decide where to go first, but one guy came up to us going, "You can't be lost already!! You've only just arrived!! Etc, etc etc etc. Now go on, get lost." XD
The Joust. Completely awesome to watch and SO MUCH FUN! Especially since we got to cheer for the BLACK KNIGHT who is FRENCH XD Ashley married him during the Joust. Was amused. And had two guys sitting behind us yelling stuff like "God save the Queen? GOD ATTACK THE QUEEN!" "Tis only flesh wound, HIT HIM HARDER!!" Much fun. I joined in with more Python quotes. Much more fun!
Eating lots and lots and lots of yummy food. Curly fries, fruit, sourdough bread bowl, sauteed shrooms, strawberry trifles, SIN ON A STICK (frozen cheescake dipped in chocolate on a stick,) and icees in orange peels! Yum!!!
Random Guy: "My ladies, why not settle for some almonds? They are better for you than the foods you are eating now! They have low cholesterol, fat-"
Ashley: "Are you saying that we need to lose weight?!"
Random Guy: "No!! No no my ladies!!! O_O;;;;"
there was more but I tired now XD
