Class of O-Be-Quiet

Because of the whole Relay for Life at the high school and running into old friends, I started wondering where other people were. Even before the Relay for Life, I had recieved an e-mail from Adam and it was sitting around in my inbox for awhile before I finally remembered it and replied to it. I felt bad that it took me so long but Adam understood that it's "better late than never." Apparently, he's trying to get into game developement as well so he's jealous of me right now XD Instead of going to school, he's trying to springboard straight into work. Huh. He sent me a long e-mail about his life and his goals, one of which is walking across the entire US in a year before he's 23 O_O;; Wow. Scare. I can't imagine doing that at all.

Mandy tells me how she occasionally runs into people from our graduating class, and Anne mentions it once in awhile too. Me, I haven't really run into anyone mostly because no one ended up at ACCD. Makes me miss everyone a lot and wonder how everyone's doing. I wonder how people changed, or how their goals in life changed, if the couples that were dating are still together, who keeps up with whom and who drifted apart. And I want to know if they all turned into anime fans because apparently that's what's been happening!!!!! XD

Ah well. <3

Hey, I'm a sophmore and I've never really dated anyone. But yeah, Grant's freaky :P He's grown out his hair, so it always throws me off when I see him these days (which is about once a quarter). The scary thing is how many people I see from our class once, and then never see again O.O I mean, I know it's a big campus, but I have a hard time believing it's that big. (Of course, it's probably just the north campus/south campus thing again.)

At UCLA everything is pretty much split between "north campus" and "south campus" - north being arts & humanities, south being maths and sciences. Most everyone from our year who goes to UCLA are south campus majors, which means I don't see them very often, as I'm a north campus major -.-;;

I saw Cathy in fall of '03, about once a quarter I'll run into Valerie and Grant, and I occasionally see people on the bus (Justin, Ken (who doesn't recogniz me -.-;) and some people from year behind us), but that's about it - though I did once have a class with Floyd. Oh! And I ran into Young once in the supermarket in Westwood, but I hear he's not at UCLA anymore...?

It's weird, because I keep on thinking that I see people I know when I don't, and no one ever recognizes me because my hair's different (and besides, most people still think I'm going to Davis).

Really? I just heard something along the lines that Young's been bouncing around from school to school. I don't know, I never really paid any attention to anything in high school - Valerie and Grant had probably been dating for 3, 4 months when I found out -.-;; I was always the last to know anything... (still am, now, since I never see anyone, and the only people I talk to are Anne and Jean, and they usually don't know much more than I do)

but, how does one hop from school to school in college?

I don't know how Young's doing it (and note that I just heard it from someone else - can't remember who), but I know my brother does it. He started out with 2 years at LMU, then took a year off, then did 2 (or maybe it was 1 1/2, I've never been clear on that) at UCSC, 1 year at SMC, and is now at West LA. He's determined to get back into UCSC (got kicked out because he wasn't passing classes/was dropping out of classes at the last minute), mainly to get away from my mom, I think. I don't think they're going to taking him back any time soon, though. :P

I don't know exactly why they kicked him out, but it was something like that ::shrugs:: He rarely gets anything above a C in any class when he actually stays in it through the end of the term. He'll blow off midterms/finals to finish papers and then say that the prof doesn't like him when he doesn't pass the clas ::wants to strangle:: The APs now have it set up so that he has to pay for his tuition each term and they pay him back at the end for the ones that he actually passes.

What the real problem is is that he has a learning disability and refuses to acknowledge it, let alone actually seek help from the student disabilities office. Pisses me off to no end. Grrrr.

hahah, its ok, i dont see ANYONE anymore. I wonder how everyone looks too! I hardly even see Anne, and we're both science majors! Which means most of our classes are in the same buildings. And we probably have many similar bio reqs. like gen chem. gen bio. physics 7. etc. but seriously, i hardly see her!

oooooh! fun! That's like going to Catalina Island for a qtr! man, I remmeber goign to CIMI in 8th grade. soooooo fun. I miss middle school. no drama. all simple fun. good times.

Randomly - I was on a shuttlebus at school the other day and someone had a CIMI jacket. Whoa... so freaky - flashback to middle school! XD
