Not enough time in a day...
Mar. 6th, 2003 09:46 pmMy friends Rei and Edgar stopped by my place today to check out the empty apartment next door. They really want to get that place! It'll be fun having two ACCD peeps next door to me, we can help each other with schoolwork and stuff. Rei's stuff is especially amazing, his sketchbook is soooo incredible. He does all these amazing thing with his sketchbook, like paint acrylic pieces, draw himself and friends, paste in stuff, it's this huge mix and match collage. Ripped pages, globs of paint, etc etc etc.
Lately, he's been wandering around in workshops and different classes to practice what he wants. Another friend of mine, Evan, inspired him to do it. It sounds like fun, I wish I was able to do it... gosh, they're able to juggle so much and I wonder why I'm not able to do that successfully. I would have to cut something out, but I really emphasize on getting the rest that is needed. I have very little rest time and I usually end up sacrificing something to get it. I wish people didn't need to sleep sometimes just so I can keep painting and do the artwork I like to do.
Oil painting is fun to a certain extent, especially if a piece comes out great. But it's a pain to wash out from clothes, my favorite jacket is spotted with oil paint splotches.
what I really want to do is draw fan art and start selling some on eBay. I could earn some money doing what's fun for me. *sigh*
Ahh the great joys of Art Boot Camp. Amazing that I'm still alive and well to tell the tale. I wonder if other art schools are this way? I know Otis difficult but not AS difficult as ACCD. Damn, the teachers must think that we're indescructable or something with all the work they give us!!! *falls over* We're human too! We need sreep! We need eats! We need play!!! *rolls around*
