Fun wif Alix!
Aug. 13th, 2006 10:42 pmIt's been great having Alix over and her being here is getting my mind off of the fact that I'm graduating in oh... a few days. There's not much left to do aside from putting up the grad show, I think I'll be sitting and painting for a good deal of tomorrow.
Alix arrived yesterday from LAX and Mandy and I went to go pick her up and proceeded to give her the most Californian experience we could think of: we took her to Santa Monica. Walked down the pier, looked at stores of fake vintage, ran around, had really good hamburgers, and dodged dive-bombing seagulls (Alix calls them 'friends' and 'cute', Mandy and I however have been traumatized by those damned birds dive-bombing on us during high school). Afterwards, we went over to Mandy's house where she fed us juice and ice cream and we watched Monty Python! When we got back to my flat, Alix turned in since it was 3AM her time and I worked on homework.
Today, after grocery shopping because Alix can cook and so can I (but probably not as well as Alix), I thought it'd be cool to take her down to Little Tokyo. Little did I know that it was Nisei Week so we had fun running around and enjoying the festivities. What a welcome! XD We went karaoke too, I tried to get Alix to sing Arashi songs but she refused. ;_;
The funny thing is that her innerJesse and I have been having talking to each other, it's mostly him acting like a pervy boy and saying all sorts of naughty things. Amaury's been pretty quiet but he's being shy so it's cute. Tomorrow is going to be rather laid back, we're just going to go to various places in Pasadena and hang around a bit. Woo hoo!
