Umm... party tune? -_-
Jun. 28th, 2009 07:21 pmOkay my music savvy friends... heeeeelp! XD Planning for Harlmonee's (grandma in Korean) 80th is now in first swing so Mom has announced that all the kids in our generation has to do some sort of performance piece each. Quite a few of the cousins and siblings can play musical instruments, and sing and stuff, although I have no idea what the Brother 2 is going to do since he's tone deaf. Apparently the venue will be providing a karaoke machine so Mom's suggesting I sing some sort of song to uhh... get the party swinging?
Btw, my suggestion of dressing up like Susan Boyle and wiggling my hips before belting out Les Miz has been shot down. Mom doesn't think anyone would get the joke even if I got the Brother Two to dress up like Simon Cowell. D:
So I need some help. My music collection consists of various people giving me music which range from indie rock, Japanese music, Disney songs, Celtic music, angry girl music, angry boy music, and a small amount of showtunes. If any of you can recommend a sort of happy, popular party tune that would easily be found in a karaoke machine, it would be great. Not quite sure what my range is but it's broad enough that I can go pretty high and pretty low but songs sung by women would definitely be preferable. Bonus if it comes from a musical since that's my own preference when it comes to singing something. There will also be kids present so the songs need to be fairly family friendly as well.
Pleeeasee post links to youtube videos or mp3s so I can hear it. Thanks guys!! :D
