Myths and Realities
Aug. 13th, 2009 10:57 pmI think this is an important video to watch about the government plan for health care. This is directly from the White House, it's not viral e-mail, it's not word of mouth, it's directly from the source.

And now I'm going to get on my soap box for a bit.
I will be laid off from my job soon and I will be losing my health insurance, which I'm not happy about it. I was without insurance for awhile and to lose it again is upsetting, not because that there's anything horribly wrong with me, but because there CAN be and I don't want to be caught without insurance to cover that. Right now, with the way the economy is, the competition for jobs in the animation industry is super tough. Recession is limiting the amount of jobs, pay, and benefits that can be offered, and people who work in animation always had to compete with seasoned veterans. I know that even though I try my hardest to send out my portfolios and my resumes to studios all over Los Angeles, it will be tough for me to get a job, and because of that, I won't have health insurance.
I want there to be an option for me to have and the best option would be that there is a government health insurance OPTION that will cover me. I value my health very much because if you don't have your health, what have you got, eh? So please, I ask that everyone checks out the information on the site, and also to think of me, and anyone else who will not or currently does not have health insurance. After all there are roughly 47 million of us out there, chances are, you know some of us, are friends with us, or are related us. Would you really be willing to stand in the way of your friend/loved one getting affordable health care?
