Dear Owners of Wildebeest,
I love my apartment. I really do. I love the building. I love the fact that you guys are repairing the building although you guys have been working on this building since JULY and it's still not done.
That said, here are the things I don't love:
1. I have no idea when you guys are working on the aparment and I find out when construction is happening when something suddenly BANGS ON MY WINDOWS. It freaks me out to no end because I LIVE ON THE SECOND FLOOR AND THE BANGING IS ALWAYS ON THE SIDE WINDOWS THAT ARE NOT OUT ON THE BALCONY. Also, it makes me think that I'm about to be robbed. I have three years of martial arts, a lot of very heavy books at hand and knives. Lots and lots of knives. And a VERY GOOD THROWING ARM.
2. That there are NO SIGNS THAT INDICATE WHEN SOMETHING IS BEING PAINTED. I walked out on the balcony to go down the stairs to the parking lot and find that I HAVE SUDDENLY SLIPPED AND PLUMMETED THE REST OF THE WAY DOWN BECAUSE OF WET PAINT. Now, I am an artist. I am used to getting paint on my clothes. All of them. But to get A BUNCH OF WHITE PAINT on my shoes, my brand new green corderoy pants, my favorite jacket AND my only backpack in one second IS A BIT MUCH. PUT A FREAKING SIGN ON THE FREAKING DOOR. It's a very good thing I landed on my bum and that my VERY EXPENSIVE LAPTOP THAT IS ALSO MY ONLY COMPUTER wasn't DAMAGED because of the fall.
Life here is getting to be very distracting and it is NOT GOOD because I am in the last leg of finals. I am going to severely maim someone if something like this happens again. RAWR.
Sincerely,
The Covered-in-White Queen
Edit: My laptop has been damaged and now no longer works. There will be hell to pay.

Date: 2005-12-14 05:14 am (UTC)You should say something to the manager about it - even if she doesn't live there. She's got a phone number or something right? Anyway here's to hoping more bad stuff doesn't happen :/
