It's now cold at my flat and Smeagal has taken it upon herself to abandon her little hut that rests on the window sill and sleep in her wheel. I keep trying to convince her to go back to that little hut, currently the entire thing is encased in cardboard to block out the cold AND there's an old wash cloth wrapped around it...

So far, it's not working. I think I have to move the hut or make a better house. She is clearly Not Pleased. I just checked on her now and she's sleeping on the little pink platform, which I do NOT like because that's where her water bottle is. I had a momentary freak out and brushed all the shavings off of her platform because I don't want her to get wet tail. I think I'll move her little cage entirely off of its place of honor but I don't know where else to put her. *sighs*

Little brat. She's lucky she's so cute.

Wee bit nervous about work today as I'm filling in for one of my managers. It means Social Interaction and a step above my world of Copy Machines and Errand Running. It also means a lot of Answering the Bloody Telephone, which I wouldn't mind so much if it just was 'pick-up-the-phone-and-say-hello', but instead it's 'pick-up-the-phone-check-the-extension-press-a-lot-of-buttons-and-then-say-hello'. And that's only if I didn't royally muck it up and didn't accidently pressed the wrong button.

I still love work, this week has picked up again compared to the very chillax last week. I did finish all of my assignments at 4:30 yesterday so I was lounging about for a bit, looking at storyboards. I'm learning a lot even on my downtime because I get to look at a _LOT_ of artwork. I understand the art of storyboard now and I'm eager to try it sometime! As for my own art work, I turned in a portfolio to a show and hopefully they'll like it. At the very least, I'll get some great feedback. However, it was for backgrounds, which are kind of infuriating but at least I get to paint.

Last week was crazy in a box for my life in general. This week, I just relaaaaaaxed, which is soooo nice. All these October birthdays! If I ever get married, I'm going to guard my loins in January just so I won't have an October baby, there's too many October babies on my family anyway! This week is Timmy's and Dad's birthdays. Once again, I am very poor so I'm making gifts.

Timmy, I have a special gift in mind... but only if someone else is willing to cooperate. I hope he does, it would really make my brother's day. *sighs*
