The Year ends with Neil

Hey Neil, why are you spamming my f-list? Not that I mind (far from it), it's just that I think your LJ broke. XD
As for my own LJ, I haven't updated because nothing noteworthy has happened post-Christmas. That can be summed up in incomplete poetry form:
''Twas the night before Christmas, and vibrating across the rafters,
Everyone was up and stirring, including the hamsters.
No stockings were hung by the chimneys with care,
Since the room was converted and my parents slept there.
The children were up and away in fear from the beds
Since they didn't want Korean head lice dancing on their heads.
And mamma flopping to the floor and dad in midst of his nap,
One of the cousins somehow managed to break the water tap.
The water sprayed everywhere, which caused him to sputter,
Both uncles sprang from the floor to repair the matter.
Away to the faucet they flew like a flash,
That they slipped on the wet floor and completely crashed.
And the Internet died on my mac which caused me to whine,
For help from my uncles who were currently occupied.
When, what to my wondering eyes should show up,
Was my younger brother, covered in throw up.
Sick with stomach flu, and miserably without luck,
He raced to the bathroom in order to upchuck.
More rapid than an eagle, Mom flew to his side,
And she called through the door for things with hydrochloride;
"Bring me Tylenol, Pepcid AC, Sudafed, or Advil!
Ibuprofen, Adderal, Aleve, or Benadryl!
They're inside the closet, the one built into the wall,
Just grab them, grab them, grab them all!"'
Try to figure out which parts are true and which parts are artistic liscense! Seriously though, when I go home, I get sucked into the black hole of no productivity. I don't do anything because I don't need to and that's bad. >.< I actually can't wait to go back to my apartment so I can feel human again. No fifty million phones going off, no multi-language nagging from various people older than me, no more sleeping on the living room couch because there's no bed, just no more! Just peace, quiet, sanity, and productivity! The new year seriously can't come quickly enough.
I did watch 'Happy Feet' and 'Night at the Museum' with my family. 'Happy Feet' is seriously over-rated, it's the favorite to win the Best Animated Feature Oscar and I have no idea why. It's beautiful graphically, but the story was way too ambitious for the project, the pace was slow, and the attempt to combine real people footage with animated dancing penguins was unsuccessful. In my opinion, I think 'Flushed Away' should win the Oscar, it's a beautifully animated film, the story was hilarious, the pace was fantastic, the design is so true to Aardman, etc etc etc. I can't sing enough praises of that movie. Oh, and 'Night at the Museum' was good too, fun movie to watch with the family, good story, overall, just a really fun movie. One more movie I'm trying to catch (which I probably won't) is 'The Fountain' because they did cool things for the special effects by filming chemical explosions in a petri dish and molding the other effects around that. It feels like something I should watch on a big screen rather than a small screen, but I probably won't be able to catch it in time. At least 'Pan's Labryinth' is now more accessable, I'm eager to watch that one!
Anyway, that's me. Everyone, have Happy New Year's eve!
