At times like this, I seem to clam up. I don't understand, it doesn't compute and while the news reports, pictures, video streaming, and statistics are there, I still don't get it. Who does really? Who can explain why someone felt it was necessary to drill terror into the hearts of an entire campus, their friends and their families, and take life? Now the sanctity of the school is tarnished as blood was spilled in hallowed halls meant for safety. I've always thought of colleges as being the place where hopes and dreams flourish as students take their steps towards adulthood, and it only took one person take it away.
