May. 3rd, 2007 11:46 pmThe Good:
Having space to myself
Being able to cook whatever I want
So much great storage space <3
Funky architectural details like the door to nowhere, the hole in my ceiling, the molding, and the walls that used to be doors
The fact that this apartment building used to be an old, old house and has lots of charm
The mint green painted walls, it was this color when I came here but I grew to really love this color
Being able to decorate it any way I wanted to
The HUGE, TALL CLOSET
The biiiiiiiiig tub
My Alan Rickman painting in the bathroom
Pretty blue carpetting :D
The nice, big windows
TABITHAAAAAA
The fact that there's a Faire Guy here somewhere XD
The Bad:
The fact that it's an old house so stuff breaks easily and randomly, I've walked into my flat to see the smoke alarm dangling off the ceiling, the glass cover of the ceiling light on the carpet, etc
The neighbor who plays her music too loudly (I'm thinking about leaving her a parting gift of a pair of cheap headphones dangling on her doorknob)
The annoying yappy Poms that bark at everything
The parking space that's surrounded by penis-growing trucks so it's ANNOYING to park and to leave
The fact that there's no mailbox for outgoing mail
The Ugly:
The management. I hate having to go to the secretary to speak to the landlord. This is clearly not her job, nor should it be. There is no on-site manager although there is a maintenance guy, and it's hard to get in contact with them. Makes me wonder what would happen if there was an emergency and we couldn't get through to let the landlord know.
All in all, not bad. Not fabulous although there are lots of good things, but not great either. It's pretty much as long as I don't have to deal with other people (excluding Tabitha <3), I'm fine. Woo hoo!

Date: 2007-05-04 03:31 pm (UTC)So far I like the apt. My biggest pet peeve is the person who insists on smoking in the hallway instead of going outside. I suppose the weird fake wall by my bed is a bit strange too...
Well I'm sure when you find a new job you can move on to a bigger and better place where people will do weird things to bug you next door haha.
