Harroween Part Deux!
Nov. 4th, 2007 10:33 amI finally edited and uploaded my favorite Halloween pics. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of them since many of the photos came out blurry to the point that I would've had to completely paint over them! D: Oh well.

As said in previous entries, I dressed up as Hiro Nakamura from Heroes! My mom, worried that her drag-dressing-daughter was about to be humiliated, kept asking if anyone would know who the hell I was supposed to be. My mom doesn't watch Heroes by the way so hilarity ensued, "Mom, just because you don't watch Heroes, doesn't mean that nobody else does! It's a REALLY POPULAR SHOW but they didn't put it on the Home and Garden Channel unless they wanted to showcase wonderfully decorated buildings getting blown up by a RADIOACTIVE MAN."
A lot of the costume relied on the jacket, which I made out of a navy blue turtleneck and a lot of different fabrics and trims in order to get the patterning as close as possible. It's not exact, but it's close enough and the jacket itself does a great job in flattening out my boobs. :D The original jacket also has zippered pockets but by then, I said screw it, I'll put those in later on a rainy day.

For the back of the jacket, I just stuck on felt letters that I found at the fabric store. Because the jacket ended up coming out great to the point I can wear it as a regular jacket, I decided to refrain from painting on the symbol. I did put in the colored trim later on the white ribbing, the yellow, turquoise and dark blue lines.

BUTTONS! I couldn't resist making the YATTA! one. :D

Every good Hiro needs his sword! Cheap buy at a Halloween costume shop and then painted the symbol on it. I attached a strip of elastic to it so that I could wear it on my back! I mastered taking the sword out of the scabbard quite easily, putting it back in... well... that's lesson two.

I wore my costume to work! :D The tall lady with the red boa and hat is my boss! COOLEST BOSS EVAR. The guy in the mouse costume is an art director and he MADE his own costume. It's CRAZY AWESOME. And of course, the Indian in the Cupboard. XD

After work, I met up with my galleons Freya and Mira for Halloween Fun Times! Sadly, there wasn't enough light for my camera to be happy with taking photos. I have NO GOOD PICS of Mira! D: All the great pics I took of her were on her camera! D: She took some good ones of me in my camera though. :D

Woman like a man like a woman. XD

Freya was dressed as Katara and she looked FANTASTIC. :D I got to help style that wig. :D

Ooh, water!

Katara the Pin Up Girl. :D
