I'm in a sports tournament, dressed as a sailor and it's getting very close to being my turn to run or whatever I'm supposed to be doing. I'm sitting in the audience with a modern day Jeeves and Bertie Wooster (Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie), who are sponsoring the sports tournament because they took over Target, and my teammate who is also dressed as a sailor, when she comments that she really wants a hat to go with her sailor outfit. I mention I'd like one too because it's rather sunny and bright outside. It's getting closer to half time, and Bertie suggests that I make a quick run to the Target across the street and take Jeeves with me, that we should be fine as long as we leave right now and get there before everyone else gets there and that Jeeves knows the layout of every Target ever made because he's Jeeves. So we both get up and I'm running but Jeeves isn't, but he's keeping up with me, and just as I'm getting out of the stadium, the buzzer goes off for half time and it's crowded as all heck but we manage to stay a bit ahead of the crowd.
And then the dream... changed. Because the Daleks and the Cybermen attack the Target and the stadium! I lost Jeeves in the crowd (probably went to go back and check on Bertie) and I was stuck, surrounded by people and I couldn't move because everyone was panicking. I was then grabbed out of there by Spider-Man who was webswinging and told me that he found Peter Petrelli. Peter had been earlier turned into Cyberman and the two of us had been dating, and Spider-Man knew this because we knew Peter Parker in college, but dream me didn't know that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, although Peter Petrelli must've known because of his powers which I knew he still had in the dream.
Spider-Man takes me to where Peter Petrelli is, which was in a news room at some news station where scientists were experimenting on him to see if they could bring him back from being a Cyberman. I start crying when I see him (he looks like Optimus Prime, only he's also Peter Petrelli... this made so much sense in my head) and he gets up from the table. He can't speak but signals something with lights from his eyes, which Spider-Man says is morse code, and tells me that Peter had been practicing dancing so that he could take me to the big dance in college before he disappeared. That it took a long time for him to learn and he even snuck into wedding receptions and danced with random people just to get the steps right. Then he dances with me. Stiffly, but still dancing, and I'm smiling at him, touched and amazed that he went that far for me.
Spider-Man, meanwhile is fixing the serum that they're injecting into him. The news reporter isn't happy and yelling that he's changing it and asks if he's a Republican because Nathan Petrelli, who financed this, is a Democrat and currently running for president. Spider-Man gets annoyed and remarks that it's not about what government party anyone's in at the moment, everyone's still in danger. He goes over to Peter and very gently injects the serum into his neck. Peter slumps down against a pole and the Spider-Man and I are sitting on either side of him. Some of the Optimus Prime parts fall off although not all of them, and his still robotic arm reaches out and wraps tightly around Spider-Man's neck.
I get worried and go, "Peter!" He turns to look at me, the lights in his eyes turning on.
And then I woke up. Crap. I wonder if the Doctor arrives then and makes everything all better. Or if Torchwood gets there first... but I think we were in New York so no Torchwood there.
Fun dream, but I'm a bit annoyed that I was stuck in the Mary Jane/Lois Lane position of being pathetic love interest with no powers and can't do anything! And what's up with the sailor outfit? Bertie Wooster taking over Target though is pretty amazing.
