Do I have to go to work today? XD
*flop*
BTW, Doctor Who Con- err... Comic Con was FOR TEH WIN. John Barrowman is a giant divalicious fabulousity charged beefy bouncy ball that talks and talks and is hilarious and powered by perversion. I heart him! Gareth David Lloyd is smoking hot, people. SMOKIN'. HOT. His voice... guhhhhh... And Naoko Mori is just gorgeous and adorable and witty and funny and ohhhhhh I wish I was Naoko Mori!
Kelli wrote a song while waiting in line which was pretty much the con's theme tune:
Standing in a line, I'm getting very bored!
Look there's a cosplayer with a great big sword!
I'll be buying lots of stuff I can't afford!
Standing in a line at Comic Con!
Staaaanding! Standing in a line!
Standing in a line, it probably lasts forever!
Staaaanding! Standing in a line!
Standing in a line at Comic Coooon!
There's more to it, Kelli needs to send me lyrics.
I bought so much stuff. So much.
- Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver toy. I still need to put the batteries in but I played with it a bit yesterday. XD I haven't bought a toy in ages! My brother disowned me because I bought this but he took me back when I gave him the Avatar t-shirt that I got as swag.
- Doctor Who Tardis USB hub. THIS WAS AN INTELLIGENT PURCHASE. I NEEDED A USB HUB. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :P
- 3 volumes of Hellblazer. Mmmmmm John Constantine.
- 6 different volumes of Fumi Yoshinaga manga: Moon and Sandals, Solfege, and Flower of Youth. She was nominated for Eisners, yay!!!
- Kodama plushie! It has a bell in it, like the one Cici has! It's so going in my CAAAAAR~
- My friend Autumn's sketchbook, lots of wonderful art
- Japan Ai by the wuuuunnneerful
aimeekitty! I <3 you!
- Martin Hsu's Doodles and Noodles book, my mom's going to try to steal it from me. It's MIIINEEE!
- Rankenstein's sketchbook! :D WOO!
- Saturn t-shirt from The Galaxy Girls! They are awesome! I've been wanting one for ages and I was so happy when I got it that I wore it yesterday! :D
- Who is Rocket Johnson? book. This actually isn't mine, I bought it on request for a guy at work, but it's a lovely, lovely book. :D
- ...I bought too many autographs. It's for a good cause though, all the money went to Alzheimer's research. :D
Some of my favorite swag were the Doctor Who postcards, the Torchwood postcards, BUTTONSBUTTONSBUTTONSYAY, giant bags, LOTR t-shirt, Avatar t-shirt, a Boba Fett mask (that I gave to my brother and he didn't seem to want to take it off yesterday XD), and MYTHBUSTERS POSTER!
Best panels: Doctor Who, Torchwood (I NEVER LOLED SO HARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE), Connie Willis's panel (YAY!), Avatar panel (I cosplayed, LOL), and the TORN Hobbit panel!
EPIC CON WAS EPIC. No wonder I'm tired. Blech. Do I have to drive to Van Nuys today?

Date: 2008-07-28 07:23 pm (UTC)I think the sonic screwdriver is (once you get the batteries in, for which you need a sonic screw driver)one of the best toys ever. I bring mine to work for hours of fun and annoying people.

Date: 2008-07-29 06:20 am (UTC)It really is the best toy ever, I just ran around the house with it pretending to 'sonic' stuff. XD Does yours have the UV light with the psychic paper that you can write messages on? I'm so bringing mine to work tomorrow and bothering people with it. XD
