Here's my general design for it. There's a few parts I haven't drawn, like the a white silk scarf that I'm definitely going to wear with it and maybe a large marshmallow gun that'll be repainted to be more steamy!

Originally, I thought about making the waistcoat (oh hoho, I'm so British) out of brown leather, but I really love it in blue. It's probably hard to find blue leather that's not vinyl so I was thinking about making it out of moleskin or suede, something with a texture but easy to sew. Also, I was thinking of overlaying some parts with some sexy black lace. :D I kind of wanted to bone the inside too, but I'm wondering if just using strong interfacing would work. Thoughts?? I've never boned anything before either, I'd probably need help!

I have to make the aviator helmet myself too, although I'm going to see if I can get my hands on a pattern or something... there must be one online, right? Will definitely be making it out of the same materials as the vest and maybe line it with some fur or leftover fleece.

Boots are another issue, it'll probably have to be boot covers, huh? o_O

Pants are going to be bought and I have a pattern for the blouse! Definitely need to start getting materials together. WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE FASHION DISTRICT WITH MEEEE? :D

you can sew plastic boning from like Joann's into the seam allowance, or you can sew some channels into your bodice (by sewing a lining and an interlining together and making a channel. you then slip the bones into that, and then sew that to your fashion (outer) fabric.
If you haven't done it before and are nervous about it though, I'd recommend getting a pattern that has boning instructions in it.

you don't have to use interfacing, you could interline it with a denim or coutil type fabric, too. Just flat-line the thicker fabric to your fashion fabric and then choose something breathable for your other lining (like cotton - this is what will be on the inside closest to your skin)

Thank you so much for your advice!! I can't wait to try it!! :D I like the idea of making a channel for it, it sounds like it'll be helpful in case I mess up. :D I have a few patterns with boning instructions but I've always ignored them but they're so going to come in handy <3

There's a Halloween party at work on the 30th but I'm free on the 31st. I really want to hit up the Edison (http://www.edisondowntown.com/) some time after my costume's done for some sexy photoshootings. ;D

I like the waistcoat in blue as well. Brown would be cool, but I like the added color. Strong interfacing might work if you want to stiffen the thing up. Depends on how involved you want to get with the boning. As someone who's bought several corsets, I can say I don't think boning would be too complicated, you'd just have to sew pockets for whatever boning material you find to run up through, if that makes sense. I'd think finding that would be the hardest part, but then, you know your way around craft stores better than I, I imagine XD

Aha! I do have one on here! From way back when I was in a ooh, picspam! mood. As I recall, the strange expression is to be blamed on me being impatient for the timer to go off and taking a sip of the Coke you can see I'm drinking XD Pretty, pretty corset.
