Fatal Distractions

bluejeans07Animals are so distracting. Seriously. The abundance of cuteness is just guuuuhhhhh and it's clear why I don't get anything done at home!
Take for instance, my kitty. I finally have the joy of being the proud owner of the kitten that has been called "a metric fuckton of adorable". He's grown and gained weight, which is good because he was pretty much fur and bones when we found him. His meows don't echo so much anymore, rattling around in that empty ribcage. XD Anyway, he usually wants some snuggles in the morning so I pick him up and hold him in my lap while I check e-mails and things... but then there's the inevitable getting up and getting ready for work part... and he's asleep on my lap... all curled up... sometimes with his paws over his face (which KEELS MEEE). This fuzzy, adorable lapwarmer (very nice for cold November mornings) has to be moved. But I don't really have the heart to move him at all! T_T
At nights when I get home from work, he usually wants to play. Of course, I'm usually exhausted by this time and I have some paintings and things I need to be working on when all he wants is my attention and food and meowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeow. Lately, he's been leaping onto my desk and scaring the hell out of me when I'm painting in photoshop or responding to an e-mail. @_@ I had to move things around so he couldn't jump onto them, which usually gets me "pity me for woe my owner is cruel and heartless" squeaks. XD
Ahh the joys of owning a cat. @_@
You know what else is REALLY REALLY DISTRACTING? THE SHIBA INU PUPPY CAM!!!!!! No wonder I don't get things done! D:
