Wildflowers

Anne had asked if Mandy and I wanted to go on a day trip to see wildflowers! Since I was in the throes of portfolio prep at the time, I just said yes to the date didn't really pay much attention to anything else. When I hopped into the car, the first question I asked was, "So! Where are we going?" XD It turned out we were going to Borrega State Park and it was three hour drive, which passed fairly quickly since the three of us had a lot to chat about and I fell asleep out of exhaustion towards the end of the drive there.

Anyway, it was a gorgeous day and the flowers were beautiful. Also, I finally had figured out the soft focus on my camera so all of my pictures looked a lot prettier than usual! XD I can't wait to do a photoshoot with this, any willing victims models out there? ;D




COLORS~!


We saw a LOT of desert sunflowers, they were all over the place.


There were a lot of these pretty purple flowers too.


Once in awhile, we'd find some desert lilies! Very pretty~!

The flowers would mostly be in thick groups. And bonus Mandy!

But the best part were the CATERPILLARS!


All of them were om nom nomming away!

But sadly, a tragedy occurred on this very day. I had bought a Superman knock off cellphone charm from Korea that I adored and somehow, he managed to fall off of my phone and got lost in the desert. T_T I'm SO SAD. Farewell Kal-El and your star-spangled panties... T_T

Hahaha, yeah I got rather excited about the buggies, like the caterpillar girl folk tale! The flowers are really beautiful, it makes the area much more colorful even though it's a desert!
