During the break, [livejournal.com profile] rapunzel4 would come over and play Kingdom Hearts 2 while I watched. I really enjoy watching people play video games, as a kid my brother would hog the game system and not let me even touch it so I got used to watching him. But watching Anne play KH2 made me really nostalgic and lately, I've been looking at Amazon and going, "Hmm... games. Need more games."

(Actually, no, I don't need more games. Really. I spent a good chunk of my break getting really obsessed with knitting to the point that I've knitted 4 hats, 4 pairs of fingerless gloves, and 1 scarf. I've accumulated more yarn and needles than I know what to do with, and I still have several knitting projects in my head, including one that I started on that came out of the blue. I've gotten really obsessed with intarsia and Fair Isle knitting since I can basically make pretty pictures by switching yarns as I knit! To top it off, I joined Ravelry and there are SO MANY PATTERNS THERE. There's a pattern for a WONDER WOMAN BEANIE that would totally match the Wonder Woman fingerless gloves I have planned for myself! ARGH! XD)

But yeah, games. I want more games. Specifically, DS games since I really love playing on my DS! Mostly, I want RPG games but puzzle games are good too. I've seen that there are a few Kingdom Hearts games for the DS, and I still haven't played 'Chain of Memories'. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Of course, I really should be using this time to work on my drawings... and stuff. I've been working on a storyboard of Neil Gaiman's poem Nicholas Was after he suggested on his blog that people take the poem and do it by Christmas. I couldn't make the deadline, I couldn't even start until after Christmas, but either I accumulated an Inner Neil or Dream has become a sort of fictional patron saint (he appears in my dreams and tells me to do stuff) and so this idea won't leave me alone. I've thumbnailed it all out. It's pretty cool. I like it. I wish I knew how to sound edit better though, the mp3 I have has this long musical intro before it gets into Gaiman's reading of the poem and I wish I could shorten it a little.

Also, I have a booth at SDCC this year (\O/!!) and there's a ton of stuff I want to do for it, including perhaps another t-shirt design, more prints (especially some generic fanart prints instead of just the random slash I've been drawing), more resin necklaces, and I really would love to do a comic book. I have a story in mind, it's sort of a light hearted fantasy story, sort of Ghibli meets Sir Pterry meets Raymond Briggs. Really should get started on that.

So even though it's barely started, 2011 looks like another busy year. And I want to spend it KNITTINGGAMINGDRAWING ALL YEAR LONG~

YAY GAMEAGE. For KH games on the DS, there's 358/2 Days, and Re:Coded which is coming out about a week from now. I'd say only play Days if you're a huge Organization fan or just a huge fan of the series in general...IMO it's the weakest one of the franchise, and it can be frustrating to play. Can't say much for Coded since it's not out yet, but it looks to be pretty fun! If you play Chaim of Memories, play the remade version for the PS2...it's easier than the GBA version, and has some extra stuff. 'The World Ends With You' is another good RPG for the DS, and I enjoyed all the Phoenix Wright games I played.

I do like the Organization so I may give it a shot :O And I had no idea that there was a PS2 version of Chain of Memories! I'm going to have to look for that!!

I've never head of 'World Ends With You'! I'll look into it, the title is suitably dramatic and intriguing. XD And ooh Phoenix Wright! I'll look into that as well~ Thanks!!!

Okay! XD Most of my issues with it where the gameplay, but if you are fine with that then it can be entertaining. And yeah, the PS2 version of CoM is a liiittle easier in terms of boss battles and such, so it's worth getting!

TWEWY is another Square RPG, and it's made specifically for the DS so it works out pretty well! I enjoyed it a lot...it's sort of modern Japanese urban fashion meets 'The Sixth Sense,' and it's got cool battle music like this.
