I drew the MLP: FIM cast as bishonen... I have some no regrets! I even started plotting an otome game with this cast and how to woo each one and who the protagonist would be and... yeah, lots of thoughts that pretty much lead nowhere. XD I may draw more characters from it though.

Avengers. Yeah. Going to go watch it at some point, been reading the fics that my friends either wrote or posted about, and have been enjoying them. I may not be the biggest Marvel fan but my nerdy heart is warming to them and slashing them with each other copiously, and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie...

And then I read patronizing shit like this. Especially with this part, "Of course, that's not a slight against the girls who actually do read comic books -- i.e. real fans, actual people with varied interests -- but for this, let's just go with the stock view of ladies, ladies!"

Don't even get me started with the section about things a girl should/shouldn't say to her boyfriend after watching this movie. Honestly if this was satire, it certainly doesn't read like it. Anyway, I'm still looking forward to watching the Avengers, but now with added feelings of wanting to FEMINIST HULK SMASH the idiot who wrote this.

Oh. My god, that article.

Although I do enjoy that their list of things NOT to say has the one about it's the NYE of superhero movies, cause I totally called it that the other day XD And I LIKE superheros, so a big FU to that writer.

Oh, that article... it hurt my head. It's like, "We realize that women are varied and interesting, but for the sake of being funny and perpetuating an idiotic stereotype, we're going to blithely ignore that fact!" It's like... they KNEW the burner was hot, and they touched it anyway and were surprised when it burned them. (in this case, being burned meaning "getting negative reactions from readers")

Your ponies are SO CUTE I don't know what to do. I'm especially fond of Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.
