I'm tired, I'm cranky, I have a canker sore the size of Texas rubbing against my tooth (my mouth is swollen on that side now), I'm literally waist deep in finals and to top it off, I have JURY DUTY next week!! I'm trying to get out of it but WHY OH WHY can I NOT speak to a bloody TELEPHONE OPERATOR on the phone?????!?! I don't even care about the government, I'm an artist for goodness sake! Artists are suposed to look at the world with disdain and be quite happy with that!!!

omg what is with jury duty and finals??
they wouldnt pospone mine during my 8th term finals. I went to the city hall and told them that they could fuck themselves because they would have to put a warrent out for my arrest cause there was no way i was going to blow a 10 grand term to here someone whining about how they deserve money. I can relate to you on the phone thing, it was so irratating and immposble to get a real human. On the plus side my tantrum of epic porpartions did get them to "excuse" me from jusry duty.

Another friend got it during his 6 th term finals, he told the court at jury selection that he'd decide who was guilt based on who had the uglier laywer and would spend the rest of the time mentally planning new projects

It's really easy to get out of jury duty. Just call them up, give them an excuse. Tell them that you're a full-time and that it's ridiculous for them to summon you for jury duty in the middle of your finals. Mail a class schedule to the right person, and you'll get off the hook. Tell them that you go to school year round with no summers off and that you won't graduate till 2007.
