If I was a casting agent...

Just for no reason, I felt like writing down what would be my ideal cast for one of my favorite books, Good Omens. The director would definitely be Terry Gilliam... and apparently there was one planned... except for NO FUNDING. XP If I was a rich woman, I would totally fund this film simply because of the book's sheer awesomeness.

So This is How Impending Doom Feels Like

Mom and Grandma have departed for The Land of the Morning Calm and I am now stuck in the throes of The Land of Overwhelming Tetosterone. This does not bode well for me, Mom has barely been gone a few hours when I was emptying the drying rack and I hold up a cup that doesn't match the others because Mom is anal and likes to organize by type in TWO DIFFERENT KITCHENS.

Me: Dad? Where does this go?
Dad: Mom left notes everywhere.
Me: Dad, Mom likes to organize by type and style of dish. Where does this cup go?
Dad: *insulted grunt and toddles away*
Me: *facepalm*

An earlier conversation:

Dad: Be sure to wake up at six and make breakfast.
Me: ...what?!
Dad: Make breakfast. At six. For your brother.
Me: Dad... the rice is already cooked, the soup is in the fridge, he could get it himself. Besides, I have to stay up late tonight to tweak my portfolio so I could get it printed and drop it off tomorrow.
Dad: *long suffering sigh* All right, I suppose *I* can do it since I did get today and tomorrow off.
Me: ... *RUNS AWAY*

Oh mon dieu. Time to put on my "I AM WOMAN AND YOU SHALL BOW BEFORE ME" look and try to at least get them to WASH THEIR OWN DISH and PUT IT IN THE DISHWASHER or else I will KEEL THEM. At least Timmy knows how to do laundry... it's a start.
